Engineering the future of upstream energy.

UECI helps oil and gas operators plan, build, and run assets more safely, efficiently, and sustainably, with field-proven engineers and practical AI that works on real operations.

About

Leveraging the power of AI to transform energy projects

UECI combines decades of oil and gas engineering experience with practical artificial intelligence. We use AI to streamline operations, accelerate project execution, and unlock the full potential of your assets, your data, and your people.

Our engineers stay accountable for every result. AI lets us test more options, check more assumptions, and deliver traceable answers in days rather than months, so clients make better decisions before capital is committed.

  • Streamline operations

Automate routine analysis and reporting so teams focus on the decisions that matter.

  • Accelerate project execution

Move from concept to EPC-ready packages faster, with every calculation traceable.

  • Unlock full potential

Turn years of studies, sensor data, and documents into insight you can act on.

Use Cases

Results that show up in the field

Delivered projects where engineering judgment and AI worked together.

Case 1 · Delivered project · Pre-FEED concept select

Floating flare SPAR: hydrostatics, stability, mooring and motions

Scope

The client wanted to know if a moored SPAR could safely carry its gas flare in 21 m of water, and a clear concept decision before committing capital.

How AI was used

Six disciplines in one traceable workflow: hydrostatics, stability, mooring, motions and operability. 7 configurations, 8 sensitivity cases and 3 concepts tested. Completed in 3 days.

Outcome

Stability and mooring passed with margin, but the flare would operate only about 56% of the time. We recommended a fixed monopile before capital was committed.

Flare operability envelope chart: significant wave height versus spectral peak period, showing the operating limit exceeded in about 44% of sea states.
Most frequent sea states sit above the 15° tilt limit, near the 10.5 s pitch period.

Case 2 · UECI project · Verification and EPC remediation

Floating export hoses: finding the real cause of a leak, then fixing it

Scope

After a floating export hose to an FSO leaked, the client wanted the earlier studies independently checked and an executable plan to restore and secure export.

How AI was used

Re-checked 26 claims across prior studies, incident reports and vendor documents, then built the EPC package: calculations, drawings, take-off, vendor packages, method statements, installation procedure and schedule.

Outcome

Buoyancy reserve was 220%, not 17%. The real causes were excess slack, shared steel buoys and anchors, and unsuitable hose.

Elevation section across the export hose showing two PU foam buoys, each with its own skirted gravity anchor on very soft clay seabed.
New two-sided anchor station: neither buoy can be driven onto the hose.

Case 3 · Cold start · Flow assurance

Bringing a shut-in well back online safely, in hours instead of weeks

Scope

The client requested a new restart procedure that mitigates hydrate-formation risk under conditions where LDHI can no longer be injected.

How AI was used

An AI multiphase flow model, calibrated on live pressure and temperature data, predicted where the line would enter the hydrate zone. It then generated a new start-up procedure with a controlled warm-back and depressurization sequence.

Outcome

Accelerated ramp-up by 80%, enabling a faster, safer and cleaner restart and delivering 17 mboe of accelerated production.
